KARACHI: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has once again sought Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori’s dismissal, citing worries over the Governor’s House being used for political reasons, according to The Post.

Labour Minister Saeed Ghani said Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif should nominate a governor as promised, either from his own party or the PPP. He cautioned that the present use of Governor House Karachi posed a threat not just to Sindh but to the entire federation.

Ghani noted that certain federal ministers had sought to provoke people while visiting the Governor’s Mansion, and that the rise of language politics was exceedingly concerning.

Meanwhile, Provincial Minister Sharjeel Memon denounced the Governor’s House for being utilized for partisan speeches, calling such behavior reprehensible. “Karachi has already witnessed such an environment and cannot tolerate it further,” he told me.

Memon condemned a recent event at the Governor’s House as an egregious display of prejudice, emphasizing that Sindh has always been and would be united. He also mentioned the difficulties inside MQM, stating that one member supposedly scared another, and that a sergeant had to be brought in to handle the matter.

PPP leaders urged for prudence and advised against animosity and divisive politics, underlining the importance of maintaining constitutional and impartial behavior in important institutions.
