Germany defeated Pakistan 5-2 in their opening match at the Junior Hockey World Cup in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.
Germany went on the offensive against Pakistan right away, with Michel Struthoff scoring the game’s first goal in the first minute. Germany had a 2-0 lead in the 14th minute when Robert Duckscheer scored.
Abdul Hanan scored for Pakistan in the 18th minute to make the score 2-1. Maximilian Sieburg scored again in the next minute to put the score 3-1 in Germany’s favour. In the 22nd minute of the game, Benedikt Scwazhaupt made it 4-1.
In the 49th minute, Hammad Anjum scored Pakistan’s second goal, but Germany scored again in the 54th minute to make the score 5-2. Duckscheer had a two-goal game.
