NEW ZEALAND (Webdesk) – New Zealand rang in the New Year 2022 with a spectacular light extravaganza on Friday. The country celebrated New Year’s Eve with a massive light display gathering, where people gathered to properly bid farewell to 2021 and welcome 2022 in a massive heart-warming light show.
Meanwhile, in Australia, all preparations for New Year’s Eve have been finished. Google’s doodle has also been updated with a New Year’s theme.
On the other side, the Punjab government has prohibited the use of fireworks in Lahore and pillion riding in Islamabad, while Section 144 has been implemented in Karachi.
On the eve of the New Year, Section-144 was applied in Karachi earlier today.
Aerial gunfire has been prohibited in Karachi, according to the commissioner’s directives, and offenders would face harsh penalties.
Tea houses, restaurants, and gas stations have been ordered to close at 10:00 p.m. The gathering of more than ten individuals on major routes has also been prohibited.
The commissioner has directed the local administration and police to keep an eye on the city’s law and order situation.
It should be noted here that the globe is preparing to welcome 2022, following another chaotic and pandemic-filled year marked by new limitations, skyrocketing case numbers, and a glimmer of optimism for brighter days ahead.
