Sajid Ali Sadpara made history for Pakistan by being the first mountaineer from that nation to ascend Mount Everest without the use of supplementary oxygen or high-altitude porters.

On Sunday, Sadpara, the late illustrious climber Muhammad Ali Sadpara’s son, reached the summit of the 8848-meter mountain in Nepal without the assistance of native porters in the Alpine manner of climbing.

It was his seventh such summit, having previously scaled Manaslu (8,163m) in Nepal, K2 (8,611m), Gasherbrum-I (8,080m), and Gasherbrum-II (8,035m) in Pakistan without the need of supplementary oxygen.
