ISLAMABAD : Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has severely denounced the suicide assault on the long march led by Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) chairman Sardar Akhtar Mengal.
Bilawal voiced serious worry over the attack, which occurred near Lak Pass in Mastung and targeted Mengal’s lengthy march. He has urged Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and officials to bring the masterminds of the suicide attack to trial.
The suicide bomber detonated explosives at the BNP-M protest camp in Lak Pass, around 30 kilometers from Quetta. Fortunately, Akhtar Mengal and the other party leaders escaped unharmed.
According to sources, the incident occurred at a distance from the BNP-M sit-in, and there were no casualties among the party’s leadership or followers.
Authorities have initiated an inquiry into the incident, while political leaders continue to denounce the atrocity and advocate for more security.
