According to the journal, India’s “Dulhasti Stage-II” project is an attempt to use water as a strategic weapon and directly violates the treaty. It issued a warning that South Asia’s water problem would turn into a serious humanitarian threat.
According to the study, India is in violation of international law by refusing to give water-related statistics. It emphasized that India cannot unilaterally terminate the Indus Waters Treaty, according to a clear ruling by the International Court of Justice.
