MILAN – Inter Milan advanced to the Champions League final with a 2-0 win over AC Milan in Wednesday’s gripping last-four clash.

Inter have the upper hand ahead of Tuesday’s second leg of the greatest Milan derby in a generation, courtesy to goals from Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the first 11 minutes.

Despite the fact that Hakan Calhanoglu’s shot hit the post and Edin Dzeko blew a fantastic opportunity early in the second half, Inter is still the overwhelming favourite to advance to the final of Europe’s premier club competition for the first time since they last won it 13 years ago.
