KARACHI (Web Desk) – It is no secret that people with even the smallest sort of handicap get negative remarks from society. The society in Pakistan is not an exception. Even those with eyesight problems must contend with society’s cruel attitude in this situation.

This topic was the theme of the Pakistani film “Noor,” which won the Cannes prize in the health category for the online edition. This week, the Indus Valley School of Arts in Karachi will host the premiere of the film.

The movie made the point that, rather than assisting those in need, society instead marginalises and mocks those who don’t quite fit into the mould of normalcy.

Such a scenario is well portrayed in this film. The See-Prime-produced short film doesn’t have any music, action, or humour, but the interesting subject matter will keep viewers interested.

an exhausting but worthwhile battle

The team behind Noor, according to director Umar Adil, did not anticipate the picture travelling to Cannes, but fortunately, the online version was unveiled there for the first time. And Noor was successful in winning in this division.
