LAHORE: Pakistan’s left-arm bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has been ruled out of the first One-Day International due to an injury sustained during the team’s scheduled practise session yesterday.

Shaheen, who was injured during batting and was hit in the nets, has not been permitted to play in the opening ODI against Australia. Following the injury, the left-arm pacer was placed under monitoring.

Leg-spinner Zahid Mehmood and right-arm fast Mohammad Wasim Jr, on the other hand, are making their ODI debuts for Pakistan today.
