Nisar Ahmed of Pakistan won bronze in the International Kickboxing Championship in Moscow on Tuesday.

In the third position bout, Nisar, a ‘Paratha-Maker’ in Karachi, defeated Tajikistan’s kickboxer. Despite his qualification, Nisar lacked the financial means to compete in the event, but thanks to a viral interview, he was able to raise funds to travel to Russia.

Navroz Ali and Syed Ubaid Mohammad, two additional Pakistani kickboxers, earned the Silver and Gold medals, respectively, in the event. Ubaid took first place in the 64kg division, while Navroz took second place in the 56kg category.
