BARCELONA – Pakistan’s Men’s Hockey Team defeated Spain’s home team 4-1 in the opening round of a two-match series here on Tuesday.
Pakistan began the two-match series on a strong note, defeating the higher-ranked Spain comprehensively.
The green shirts totally controlled the first half of the game, scoring three goals while the home side failed to score a single goal.
Rizwan scored Pakistan’s first goal in the first quarter of the game on a short corner. Ijaz Ali then scored Pakistan’s third field goal in the second quarter, giving Pakistan a three-goal advantage against Spain.
The two sides stayed involved in a hard-fought second half of the contest, with both scoring a goal apiece, and the green shirts eventually earned a convincing 4-1 victory against Spain. The lads in green got their fourth blow from Roman.
