The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Wednesday that Matthew Motts, a former Australian cricketer and head coach of the Australian Women’s Cricket Team, had been named as the white-ball head coach.

Mott, 48, has signed a four-year contract with the ECB, and his first job as England’s white-ball head coach is anticipated to be a three-match ODI series against the Netherlands.

Former Australian cricketer Mott has been with the Australian Women’s Cricket Team since 2015, and during that time has overseen one of the best winning records in international sport. The Australian team has won four Ashes series and has won consecutive ICC T20 World Cups. They also won the ICC Women’s 50-Over World Cup this year.

Mott has also helped Australia win 26 one-day internationals in a row, a record in either men’s or women’s cricket.
